Meredith G. Loos’s Experience at LMI

I began working at Local Marketing, Inc. in the early spring of 2014 as a Marketing Content Writer, where I updated my skills using SEO tactics and honing my online writing skills. Using research skills developed in college, I researched client-specific markets and competition to develop unique and original keyword-rich website content for client macro- and microsites. I also created SEO optimized keyword-focused articles to drive organic traffic to client websites, as well as creating user-driven social media content to target each client’s audience. My writing at LMi also included exclusive blog posts to increase organic traffic and search visibility.

In addition to my work as a writer, I used Google Analytics to report traffic for several well-known local clients and generated directory listing content for a nationwide Fortune 500 client. I was the lead content generator and researcher on a huge project developed by a client. The project was an analytical assessment of sports injuries for the Fantasy Football League, and involved me researching the top 200 players in the NFL, researching their past injuries and lifestyle data to incorporate into a spreadsheet from which the client would create a “score,” determining their eligibility based on their past. I worked closely with Project Managers and the Design & Development Teams at LMi for successful integration of content and images into the backend of the sports injury database.

I used everything I learned at Local Marketing, Inc. in the creation of my own business. The time spent working with Local Marketing, Inc. was incredibly valuable, as I learned many valuable tools and lessons while working there. I expanded my knowledge of SEO content and everything it is capable of doing in today’s online marketing atmosphere.
